DIY SOS Bray, Wicklow - Behind the scenes

There are landscaping projects about creating a beautiful garden, and then there are projects that mean so much more. For Eden Landscaping, being part of the DIY SOS: The Big Build Ireland project in Bray, Co. Wicklow, was a truly special experience.
The Bray build was undertaken to help the Leonard family bring Hannah home following the devastating accident that changed her life. The project saw the DIY SOS team, local tradespeople, suppliers and volunteers come together to transform the family home and create a space that would allow Hannah to return home and continue her recovery surrounded by her family.
Behind the Scenes with Eden Landscaping
While much of the attention naturally focused on the incredible transformation of the house, the outdoor space was also an important part of the build.
Our team at Eden Landscaping was proud to roll up our sleeves and play our part in the landscaping side of this remarkable project. Working alongside so many talented tradespeople and volunteers, we helped transform the outdoor space into an area that would complement the newly adapted home.
Being on site for a build of this scale was an experience we'll never forget. There was an incredible sense of community throughout the project, with everyone working towards the same goal: helping the Leonard family create a home that was ready to welcome Hannah back.
A Build We'll Always Remember
From early mornings on site to the final finishing touches, the DIY SOS Bray build was a fantastic example of what can happen when a community comes together.
For our team, it was about much more than landscaping. It was about contributing our skills to a project that would make a genuine difference to a family's life. We were incredibly proud to stand alongside the DIY SOS team, local businesses, tradespeople and volunteers who gave their time and expertise to make the build possible.
The finished project is a reminder that an outdoor space can be more than somewhere to sit and enjoy the garden. With the right design, it can become an important part of a home – a place to spend time together, relax and make memories.
